I gave myself a little time sorting the darker clothes already in my closet. At first I assumed that Deep Winter was the obvious answer for me. Even so, charcoal sweaters appear polished while the deepest black shirts can seem overly severe. I began comparing my face beside navy, espresso, cool gray, and muted plum. The daylight check made me less certain that one label tells the whole story. I found this color analysis as a way to compare details without chasing a quick label. At the moment I am considering colors that feel deep but do not overpower my features. I would love to hear how others have compared palette labels before replacing a whole closet? I am deliberately leaving bright lipstick, dramatic jewelry, and online quizzes out of this first comparison. Those may be useful later, but right now I only need a repeatable view of familiar clothing in ordinary daylight. A few careful notes feel more useful than a dramatic makeover or a rushed decision about every future purchase.
